- Why does my browser not show any Trusted images or logos?
- If you have installed the VEngine plugin please look at www.vengine.com web site and make sure that you can view the logos and graphics on this page. It will also automatically update your viewer to the latest level. If graphics do not display then there are two possible reasons:-
- The graphic is not completely within the browser Window. Resize your window or move the scroll bars so that the image you wish to test is fully visible.
- The Content Verification Certificate has expired or has been revoked. In either case the web site owner has the responsibility to correct this issue.
- Can I only view CVCs with Internet Explorer and VEngine?
- Yes at the moment VEngine fully supports Internet Explorer. Alternative browsers will soon be supported. When they are you'll receive a message from the web site you are visiting asking you to install the relevant plug-in. It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 5.01 or above.
- How can I view the information contained within the CVC?
- Right click on the CVC and you can 'View Certificate'. This is a method that is not 'spoofable' and allows certificates to be investigated in more depth. You can view the items such as validity period certificate repository location.
